Day 1: Hanoi: (Arrival):
Welcome to Hanoi, the capital city of Vietnam. Upon arrival, you will be greeted by your local tour guide, transfer to your hotel in downtown. In the afternoon, visit Ba Dinh Square – the biggest square in Hanoi where all the biggest cultural, political events of the cities, especially demonstrations, take place. Visit the Complex of Ho Chi Minh including Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum (from outside only as it closes in the afternoon), Ho Chi Minh’s house-on-stilts, his fish pond and the One-Pillar Pagoda. Then, the Temple of Literature which is considered as the first university of Vietnam. Later, have an overall view of the capital by cyclo in 1 hour, which wanders around the Old Quarter of Hanoi and the Hoan Kiem Lake (the “Sword” Lake). From here wandering on the narrow streets of the Old Quarter to experience the daily life of the local people. Transfer back to your hotel. Overnight at in Hanoi. (Note: Early check in is not included and subject to hotel availability)
Day 2: Hanoi – Ha Long Bay (Overnight Cruise):
Post Breakfast, around 8:00-9:00, your bus driver and tour guide will pick you up from the hotel, drive across the Red River delta and reach the coast a little before noon. Embark on a beautifully crafted junk for an overnight cruise in the legendary seascape of Ha Long Bay. Once on board, you are served a delicious seafood-based lunch, while the surrounding limestone outcrops make for a truly magical setting. In the afternoon, reach a less travelled area where you will devote yourselves to pure relaxation. The program is not fixed and depends on the time of the year and weather, but there will be an opportunity to visit a cave as well as explore a floating village or do a little bit of kayaking over the course of these 2 days. End the day on the sundeck as the sun sets on this magical seascape. This evening, you can enjoy an aperitif or attend a cooking demonstration before dinner. Overnight in a comfortable private cabin with an en-suite bathroom. (B, L, D)
Day 3: Ha Long Bay – Hanoi:
For those early birds, start the day with a proposed Tai Chi session, while tea and coffee are served as the sun rises and illuminates the surrounding seascape. Then, continue exploration of the bay. Upon returning to the boat, check-out of your cabin and enjoy a light brunch while cruising back to the pier. Disembark and transfer back to Hanoi. Overnight stay in Hanoi. (Brunch)
Day 4: Hanoi – Siem Reap:
After breakfast, today you are free for leisure & shopping until transfer to Airport for departure. (B) Flight to Siem Reap. Welcome to Cambodia, upon your arrival at Siem Reap International Airport (TBA flight), you will be warmly greeted by your tour guide. Discover the rich history, culture, and life aspects of Cambodia as you transfer to Siem Reap Town. Check into your hotel by 14:00. In the afternoon, embark on a journey to the Tonle Sap Lake and its floating village, Chong Kneas Floating Village, and fishing community. Gain insights into the unique ecological system of this productive lake, cruising around the floating village to observe the local way of life. Enjoy free time on the lake to admire the sunset view. Overnight at the hotel in Siem Reap.
Day 5 Siem Reap:
After breakfast, delve into the wonders of the Angkor Archaeological Park. Begin with Angkor Thom, the last capital of the Khmer Empire, exploring the Bayon temple with its 216 mysterious faces. Witness the bas-reliefs at Phimean Akas, Elephant and Leper King Terraces, and the Royal Enclosure. In the afternoon, continue your exploration with visits to Ta Prohm, where nature and man-made art interact dynamically, and the legendary Angkor Wat, a breathtaking masterpiece showcasing the pinnacle of Khmer Art. Overnight at the hotel in Siem Reap.(B)
Day 6 Siem Reap – Phnom Phen:
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before embarking on a half-day city tour. Visit Wat Bo Temple, an older monastery in Siem Reap with beautiful decorations and the legend of Buddha. Transfer to Khmer Ceramics & Fine Arts Centre for demonstrations and Les Artisans d’ Angkor for displays of traditional Cambodian crafts. Spend free time at T-Gallery for quality shopping. Later in the afternoon, take a private transfer (no guide) to Phnom Penh (6 hours journey). Check in at the hotel upon your arrival. Overnight at the hotel in Phnom Penh. (B)
Day 7 Phnom Phen:
After breakfast, embark on a morning city tour, starting with a visit to the Killing Fields site. Sightseeing here involves one hour on foot. Drive another 30 minutes to Tuol Sleng Museum, commemorating the atrocities during the Pol Pot regime. Spend some reflective time at the Russian Markets. In the afternoon, explore the town’s center. Continue the city tour with visits to Wat Phnom, Victory Monument, the Royal Statue of late King-father Samdech Preah Norodom Sihanouk, Independent Monument, the Royal Palace, and the Silver Pagoda. The evening includes a quick tour of Central Market. Overnight at the hotel in Phnom Penh.(B)
Day 8 Phnom Phen:
After breakfast at the hotel, enjoy free leisure time until it’s time for your departure flight. Transfer to the airport (no guide) for your journey back home.(B)
